Within the last 60 days, GDC Technics – an industry leader in aircraft engineering & technical services, modifications, electronic systems, R&D, government services, and MRO services – announced it has achieved multiple STCs, TIAs, and virtual training sessions, thereby setting a new corporate record.

In the past few months, GDC has completed several STCs and TIA flights, including ten STCs on B777-300ER aircraft. These STCs comprise of two VVIP interiors, a Ka-Band antenna, a live-TV system, an Iridium antenna, an external camera system, a lower lobe crew rest, a UHF TAC Radio system, a Falcon 300 antenna on a B737-700 and B737-700C, and SATCOM Connectivity on a B737-700. In addition, the company has an additional three STCs in the works for a B777 aircraft. GDC has also recently executed over 50 hours of flight testing, as well as virtual training for a Head of State customer. This new virtual training, which includes live-video streams from the aircraft, adds a new dimension to VVIP training programs.

“Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, GDC has worked closely with the Southwest Regional Office of the FAA to develop new ways of working together as a team and keep all of our programs on track from a regulatory certification point of view,” said Brad Foreman, GDC Technics CEO. “GDC received its STC ODA authorization December 16, 2016. Since then, working with the Fort Worth FAA DSCO, we have completed 16 STCs,” added Foreman.

The FAA Southwest Regional Office was instrumental in the certification and approval process for three aircraft that GDC Technics recently delivered. Throughout the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, GDC and the FAA developed new ways of working together using recent technology and state-of-the-art communication systems in order to complete the list of necessary requirements for all three aircraft. With the use of online tools, GDC and the FAA were able to conduct virtual aircraft walk-throughs and test flights, as well as meetings to comply with specified requirements. With the overall support from the FAA, GDC Technics successfully completed its work on the aircraft.

GDC Technics is proud to have accomplished a number of corporate records over the past few months which are unique to the company. In spite of the pandemic, GDC has continued to thrive and complete tasks without compromising the world-class quality it promises customers.
