GDC TECHNICS TO BEGIN OFFERING TFD-7000 SERIES FLIGHT DISPLAYS FOR INSTALLATION ON AIRCRAFT
GDC Technics, an industry leader in aircraft engineering & technical services, modifications, electronic systems, R&D, government services, and MRO services, announces its distribution agreement with Thomas Global Systems to begin installation of the TFD-7000 Series Flight Displays across the Boeing 767/757/737-C fleets.
The TFD-7000 Series Flight Displays are a form, fit, and function upgrade for the legacy Collins EDU776 and EDU766 CRT displays. The solution is fully interchangeable with legacy displays allowing for an instant conversion with no changes to cockpit panels or wiring and no flight crew or maintenance re-training. The TFD-7000 Series LCD solution was built upon Thomas Global’s innovation in analog-to-digital signal conversion to deliver a true plug-and-play LCD retrofit solution for Boeing EFIS-equipped aircraft. The solution adds functionality that includes GPS, ADS-B Fail, and LPV annunciations, as well as growth platform for NextGen capabilities to match other evolving technologies of the aerospace industry.
Thomas Global Systems, CEO, Angus Hutchinson said, “We look forward to working with GDC Technics to extend the benefits of our innovative avionics solutions. Our TFD-7000 Series displays are designed to bring new life to 757/767 and 737 Classic flight decks, practically and efficiently. The displays are a cost effective solution for the B767/B757/B737 fleets and are currently being installed by the largest commercial airlines in the world.”
“GDC Technics is proud to be recognized as one of Thomas Global System’s preferred distributors of the TFD-7000 Series Flight Displays,” said Brad Foreman, GDC Technics CEO. “We eagerly look forward to installing this solution across any aircraft coming to our hangar that requires an upgrade to its CRT system.”
